Welcome to Solo'd out

Solo'd Out is a one-person play festival, brought to you by Sigh No More Productions and Mad Butterfly Creative, taking place at the Red Sandcastle Theatre in Toronto from April 17th - 27th.This festival will showcase four unique one-person shows that span the spectrum from brand new never-before-seen works to internationally-touring, award-winning pieces. Jessie & Me

Agatha has big plans for 2020 - commit to her art, make money, and get back to the dating scene. But when the pandemic hits and lockdown stops her in her tracks, she is left alone to solve this new dilemma. Good thing she has her emotional support doll Jessie to keep her company. As woman and doll attempt to get Agatha back on track, Agatha must figure out if Jessie is really here to help, or if this is all in her head.Starring Natalie Morgan

The Producers

Madelaine Rose

Madelaine Rose (she/they) is a Toronto based producer, director, performer and all around creative. She has participated in the Theatre Entrepreneur Network and Training (T.E.N.T) program with the Toronto Fringe Festival for emerging producers, recently completed the CBC One Stop Business program for producers and currently serves as co-chair of OutACTRAto, the 2SLGBTQ+ committee for ACTRA Toronto performers.Her work has been showcased and recognized across Canada, and internationally garnering such awards as “Best Film of the Festival” (AltFF, 2023), “Best Women’s Film” (Royal Society of TV and Motion Picture Awards, 2022), and “Best Director” (AltFF, 2022), and “Best Solo Comedy” (Halifax Fringe, 2024) among others.

Kelly Taylor

Kelly Taylor is a jill-of-all-trades who has extensive experience wearing many different creative hats including performer, producer, and writer. Hailing from a family of literal- clowns, comedy runs through this purple-haired millennial’s veins.Kelly creates comedy inspired by her zany life and engages her audiences through her personal flare and eternal optimism. Her most recent work “Thank U, Ex!” a one-woman show that she produced and starred in, has travelled across Canada gained rave reviews and picked up awards such as the “Best Solo Comedy” award from Halifax Fringe Festival. It travelled from Toronto to Halifax and back again, and made its international debut going up in New York and Orlando in 2023.
